Providing Pathways to Opportunity With Education Programs

Aunt Leah’s cares deeply about helping youth connected to the foster care system gain access to education. Our programs support participants as they complete high school and navigate the complex systems of post-secondary education and continuing adult education.

We provide individualized support through the Supporting Education for Foster Youth (SEFFY) program, offering long-term education planning for youth currently or formerly in care. The emphasis of the program is on highlighting strengths, identifying needs and advocating for resources that lead to success for youth. Each participant is connected with an educational specialist and receives help applying for bursaries and training opportunities, from a variety of schools and programs.

In addition to our education navigation services, we offer an emergency housing fund and a special needs fund which supports all manner of critical needs that enable youth to pursue education.

For more information, please contact our SEFFY Coordinator at [email protected] or by phone at 604-525-1204 ext. 256
