Amanjot Mohem

Manager of Supportive Housing Programs

For the past 10 years, Aman has been a strong advocate for the rights and well-being of youth in and from care and young mothers. Aman has actively worked to raise awareness and address the systemic issues that contribute to their marginalization. Aman is passionate about improving the community in which she works and lives in, with a genuine desire to make a positive and sustainable impact in the lives of the youth and the moms we work with.

Aman first joined Aunt Leah’s as a Family Support Worker while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Throughout her tenure at Aunt Leah’s , she has held a variety of positions within the organization, leading to her current role as the Manager of Supportive Housing Programs. In this current role, Aman oversees an amazing team of dedicated staff who provide housing and support services to youth, mothers and their children.

In her free time, Aman loves to spend quality time with her family, friends and dog, travel and listen to music. She has also volunteered with the Burnaby Youth Custody Services Center and with the Lower Mainland Purpose Society for Youth and Families.
